Alexander
Saw the trailer for this new Oliver Stone's new movie. Looks interesting. Here are the stars for the flix:
Colin Farrell .... Alexander
Angelina Jolie .... Olympias
Val Kilmer .... Philip
Anthony Hopkins .... Ptolemy
Jared Leto .... Hephaestion
Rosario Dawson .... Roxanne
Gary Stretch .... Cleitus
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers .... Cassander
Is it me, or are there a lot of historical epics comming out in the past year or so?

Troy sucked.
Alexander could be good if it's done by Stone. I'm definitely going to go see it.

From what I've read, this is pretty much Stone's project. He is wrote it, directed it, and he is advised by Robin Lane Fox, a Oxford historian, to ensure that the movie is as accurate as possible.
It will be interesting to see which death theory Stone will use.

I'm sure I will go see it -- I have an inate inability to stay away from movies like this -- although the combination of Oliver Stone and Colin Ferrell has me quite wary.
It'll be interesting to see how Stone handles the Alexander-Hephaestion relationship.

The movie is getting brutalized by the critics. I'm still going to see it though. Just my expectation has been lowered.

Colin as Alex....along with Angelina.
Who in the hell cast this movie? Some 20 year old college girl?
I can't think of two worse people to represent these figures from the old world.

Just saw it...it sucked the big one. I think it has good intentions, but the disjointedness of Stone's direction is just horrible.
Also, if you are a little uncomfortable in seeing Jared Leto and Colin Farrell as two gay guys, dont go see it.

Oh, well the only reason I wated to see this movie was for the Jared Leto/Colin Farrell gay action. But, actually, after reading all the bad reviews I think I'll wait for this to come out on DVD.

i am not crazy about this movie but i thought it would do better in Box Office than "Christmas with the Kranks". (it was #3 with $32 mil. while "Alexander" was #6 with $21 mil)
i know it was a big holiday weekend for families, but come on. there are better family movies out now than "Christmas..."
