Tommy Lee at Univ. of Nebraska

Rocker Tommy Lee is in Lincoln for the next 5 weeks filming a "reality" show about college life. Lincoln was supposedly chosen because "Producers scouted for a nationally known college with 'a great campus, a football team, a band, a frat – everything,' Wyman said. http://www.dailynebraskan.com/vnews/.../416a1ac379050

I'm not sure what the "frat" thing has to do with it, but I hope our Greeks at Lincoln make sure to do the right thing and stay out of the spotlight. Lee is supposed to perform with the marching band at the halftime show next Sat. It will be interesting to see what is made of this show.

Hell, anytime someone comes on a campus to reportedly do a nice thing for Greeks, it turns into S**T for us!

I put this up a couple of days ago in the Entertainment section.

Funny that Delts have spoken up as Tommy's roommate for the show is actually a 5th year senior in Delt. I used to work with him at Old Chicago, and I know his girlfriend fairly well. Super nice guy, former rush chair, super involved, current Speaker of the Senate in our student government.

I know the roomate too! I should, I'm in his pledge class. He's one hell of a guy and will make Delt proud! Plus, he's an alumnus of the Fraternity now, not a ton of direct exposure to the greek system (we are only active in the chapter for 4 years then we're alums). I also know that the greek system is not the focus of the show, the college experience in general is...so us greeks need not get our underwear bunched up with paranoia, we're only a small slice of the pie.

And to my brother Delts, be happy for our brother who was chosen. He was picked for great reasons. Smart, funny, nice, involved, fun. He's well known, respected, and liked here at UNL, he's done good things here for Delt's name maybe the rest of the country will be impressed too. (and I hear he didn't even try out! It was just random chance that the right people met him at the right time and were impressed!)

Don't worry greeks! You're in good hands!

I guess a different environment can change a person!

Amazing get a Rock Star out of that mode and place in another, Hm can be a really Nice Guy! Guess hanging with some Greeks aint all bad!
