Not yet but I have a friend who just got engaged which really surprised me because last time we spoke she was going to break up with her boyfriend for a serious issue that won't improve with marriage, in fact, it will probably make things worse.

I did & it came as a shock to everyone. The bride & groom were friends of mine but the bride's brother objected b/c he truly felt that the groom had cheated on her at his bachelor party. I don't understand why he didn't say anything earlier. The wedding was halted for about an hour but it resumed minus one brother.
I guess he had the last laugh b/c they split up a year and a half later when he cheated on her again.

it seems like you only see it on tv or movies.

what about getting left at the alter where the bride or groom does not show up? i wonder if this "really" happens.
