Dear Sisters and Friends,
Sadly, I will not be around Greekchat much for awhile. I am completely in over my head in all areas of my life right now. I feel like I am seriously losing control.
School is a lot more than I bargained for. Classes are going well, but my Ph.D. work is taking up a lot more time than my previous grad school experience. My teaching load is really heavy this term, and I am teaching an online course that is totally killing me
I just got word that I will be a Graduate Assistant next semester. That's great news, but it will also mean a lot more work.
I agreed to be the Leadership Development Chair for my APO section, but that isn't going so well. I really like our Section Chair and the other staff members, but I don't know.......it's just not fitting well into my life.
I'm teaching 3 Taekwondo classes per week, and my instructor really wants me to prepare for my next belt rank testing. Taekwondo has always meant A LOT to me, and I hate that I've had to set my training aside for so many other things. I just don't have time for so many of the things that I have always enjoyed. I don't have time to communicate with real-life friends, let alone online ones.
I'm just going to take November as a "regrouping month." I need to figure out what is important to me and where I can trim things down. I'm only 25 years old, and I'm already showing signs of a stomach ulcer! I have a headache 24-7, and I rarely get to be with my husband. Things need to change.
I wish all of you the best of luck in the world. I will certainly be popping in now and then, and I'm still going to be a part of Alison's Friendly Venture and Online Kappa.
