CBC Election coverage

I stayed up pretty late watching the election coverage - benefits of being a West Coaster - after hours of watching the CBC did anyone else notice how one of Don Newman's eyebrows is a lot darker than the other - and how Rex Murphy's face got saggier as the night went one, but those chicken wings must of been tasty.

Sorry, I know this is not the most intellegent post, but after watching the results come in, I needed to laugh at something.

My fave email of the night to Rex Murphy - "if Bush gets re-elected, I'm leaving the planet" - I guess the Canadian space race is about to begin...

I enjoyed CBC's coverage, eventhough it was fairly partisan. I thought it was a great idea to interview both republican and democratic ex-pats

My favourite part of the night was the Rex Murphy interview with the Republican guy taking his Masters at UofT... how he discussed problems with anti-Americanism, the importance of Bush's policies, how he couldn't understand how intelligent people could support Kerry, etc..... then it comes out the guy didn't vote because he forgot to mail his vote by the deadline date

I do however want to know how the CBC was declaring Electoral College results so much sooner than the US networks... I'd flip back an forth, but CBC's numbers were always declared first, sometimes by 30 mins...

Don Newman needs to change his last name. He hasn't been a 'new man' for MANY a year.

But their coverage was well done. They weren't playing cagey with the electoral college predictions, which is why I knew early on that the election was over and that my team lost. I appreciate that the CBC took such a strong stand.

Not wanting to see the dripping liberal bias of most news networks, I stayed tuned to Fox News for the most part, while occasionally switching back and forth to other channels to see their disgust with Bush's success. Brit Hume was the first to notice the exit polls were bogus, which was impressive.

I'm guessing your post has a point with regards to the subject of the thread.... but I don't see it... see it was about CBC coverage not FoxNews coverage...

Obviously I am not super familiar with CBC, and to be quite honest... I thought it was most likely an even more liberal channel than our own nation's networks... not trying to be flamed, I digress....

How about I watch CBC b4 I make judgments on it....?
