Re

Randy,

Our newly rechartered chapter went from chartering with 29 to having 8 actives and 9 pledges this semester. It started with 13 pledges. Our goal is to have another rush of 12 again, last Spring our last PG class was 12. I just think the current PT doesn't want to do it again and may not think of someone willing. I guess since I was running for prez, but the position I want is PT. My little, a current pledge, is running against me as prez and I think I need a little time off. She will do a good job, she is 30 and already have ran orgs and almost became a part of APO, unofficially. I don't know. We will see... we expect a good amount of brothers to come back next semester too.

Not sure I add much in response. Its unfortunate that your numbers have dropped so much. I think 12 is a reasonable goal, but with 17 actives and 12 pledges it may be possible for MVP to serve. The chapter I was in as an undergrad had a rather odd system when it came to Membership VP & Pledgemaster. We elected our officers mid semester and the newly elected MVP planned the next semester's rush and had both the MVP and pledgemaster duties during the first half of the following semester. After their successor as MVP had been elected in the middle of the semester, they continued to serve as pledgemaster until the pledges initiated. It meant we had a different number of officers in the first and second half of the semester, but it worked OK for us...

Hey Casanova,

I sent you a response about a month ago detailing where the membership is dropping and what membership we are having issues targeting. I don't know if you didn't get my response. Anyways, email me at soaringeagle_25@yahoo.com I am the current prez and current SVP right now and any advice will be greatly appreciated. The Section Chair, Matt Cross, and Section Vice Chair are both aware of the situations.
