DIVAS Live
Did anyone get to check out Divas Live on VHS-1 last night. Your soror, Aretha Franklin, is still holding it down! I think they said she is one of the few if not the only artist who's had top hits in every decade since she began! That's definitely what I'd call "ageless talent", being able to transcend (?sp) through the years and continue to produce music that's current yet evokes memories of our soulful roots.
HONORABLE MENTION:
JILL SCOTT was truly glorious! I loved her performance and the absolute soulful purity of her voice. I luvs me some Jill.

I saw the show last nite and I thought overall it was great! I love me some Re-Re. However, I think she needs to be a little (or a lot) more selective in choosing her attire.
I agree Jazbri, Jill is/was/will always be the bomb!

I was wondering if Ms. Franklin has a wardrobe consultant, if not she needs one badly. As a fellow BIG sister,we need to
accentuate not overstate. Still she is the QUEEN of MUSIC not just soul
I didn't know of Jill Scott before, but the lady can blow.

Uhh...we do not have an official comment on the wardrobe stylings of one Mrs. Franklin yet, but we will discuss it at a later time. All we can say for now is she has since fired her stylist, Stevie Wonder.
Love the music...question the gear.... HeeHee!

Aretha ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS wears WHITE when she is on TV!
Why ya'll why?
What was up with that lipstick on her teeth?
That is not a trait of a DIVA!
as usual, Jill truly represents! RE-RE needs to take notes from Jill's stylist...

Let me add...
that minister Paul Morten, from here in NO is the one who asks for the tax documents of his members. I made reference to that in the AKA forum under the thread, the New Church!

I was only being sarcastic about the car detailing.
But he does ask his members to show their tax documents to determine if they are paying their tithes...
the starbucks things is in another state, but the church with the ATM machine is one of this minister's close colleagues church. They are cohorts!

Dang, it's funny how the walls have ears. For those that weren't there to listen, I said all of the above as well as some comments about her attire and her 'do. I was trying to accentuate the positive in the topic; because as you can see there will be plenty replies dishin the dirt!
Sheesh, a person can't come up in here without little private eyes!

Although she's my Soror, that first outfit had me trippin' ! Girl can sing though and overall I was impressed. I wish Divas Live would extend there list a bit further though. I'd like to see some more old school divas presented. What do y'all think?
