The Widsom of the Jewels

Greetings Brothers. I have just returned from Egypt and Ghana, in what was an amazing journey.

Having been to the Motherland, and seen the remains of Misr (ancient Egypt), I know now that what the Jewels believed in, and set as the foundation of Alpha Phi Alpha is true.

The notion of Greek knowledge and philosophy being stolen from Egypt is true, and the peoples of Africa are indeed great contributors to human civilization.

The Jewels did not create a false story to build Alpha Phi Alpha on, and did not just take what they saw in historically white fraternities and put an Afrocentric spin on it.

In Ghana I learned that Brother DuBois believed in so much more than the popular Talented Tenth theory. He was a great Pan-Africanist, and promoted the idea of African peoples uniting all over the world. His home in Ghana, where he died, is now a museum that is in desperate need of support and exposure.

In my opinion, every African in the Diaspora should make a pilgramage to the Motherland.

If anyone would like to discuss this further, or would like information on to make a trip yourself, please feel free to PM me.
