Sigma Nu ring,,, ideas
Hello, I am an older alum and am looking for a Sigma Nu ring. I do not like the ones Masters of Design have, and wanted to know if you had one (if so, please send or post a pic) or knew of a place that sells them. I have looked on the Internet, but have not seen anything I like.

If you have a certain design in mind, there are jewelers that will custom-make these things.

You can always draw a picture of what you want and like KTsnake said, take it in to a jeweler. The jeweler will then have to make a mold out of wax and then get your go-ahead. After than he or she can do the gold work and any antiquing and set stones. However I'm letting you know (cuz I work in the business) that it can get very expensive. Usually it costs $600 for the mold and wax...and gold prices are thru the roof ($420/oz.). So if you can find one you simply like better than others, I'd almost recommend ordering a pre-made one
Good Luck!

I bought the miniature badge and had balfour mount it on a flat faced ring for me. Looks really good!

Sigma Nu ring
I have been looking for a ring for my husband for our anniversary and the only sites that I have found that have any rings of any quality are the Masters of Design and maybe this site - http://www.greekforme.com/sigma-nu.html - they have some rings that are relatively simple - good for daily wearing - hope this helps - I am ordering the Legion of Honor ring from the Masters of Design. (I wanted to say thanks to the reply that explained that custom jewelry can be expensive - he is right - and it was a good post). I hope this site at least gives you some more options because there are not many out there.

That is unfortunately the case. And possibly fortunately as well. Sigma Nu's IHQ has the rights to all of our symbols. Therefore, if some jewelry company were to start mass marketing Sigma Nu paraphenelia without a license, then it'd be hell to pay.
So, we're left with Masters of Design.
