I am also going back...8-30-2000! I am really excited since this will be my first semester in a "virtual" classroom. University of Maryland University College is where I am studying for my undergrad degree in Buisness Admin...With a concentration on Enterpernurial Studies. (I know somebody is going to check me on my spelling!
But, as excited as I am, I still need prayers!

Hopefully,
This will be the last semester of school for me. I completed all my required classes, but I am working on my thesis (boy, is it a lot of work!!! ) . I am hoping to graduate Decmeber of this year with my Masters in Criminal Justice, that is, if I get my thesis completed on time. And then it's off to law school...
I've decided that I'm going to be a student for life!!!

Thank Director for the warm wishes!
I've been at school for a week now for peer counselor training, the new students returned on Sunday and the rest of the upper classmen return this Sunday, so its been and will be busy.
I look at this year in high expectation and anticipation of GREAT things.
Good luck in all of your pursuits...

Thanks Sorors!
I too will be going back to work on my Master's. I've only been out of college for a year, but I've gotten used to coming home and not worrying about homework, group projects, or finals. So I decided to go part-time and non-degree status to make sure I can handle things.
I'm going for a Master's of Business Administration with an emphasis in MIS or Marketing. I can't decide on which one though. I really enjoyed my marketing classes, but I know MIS is where the $$$ is.
So if anyone is in either of those current fields, please e-mail me, DevaSTating22@collegeclub.com, with the pros and cons of these two areas. Maybe this will help me decide which direction I would like to go. Thanks!!
Good luck to all returning to school or those heading out into the "real" world. It is quite an experience.

AHHHH back at school
MY LAST YEAR I am an Mass Communications major with a concentration in Advertising and a minor in Marketing.
I am looking forward to some things and have already experienced a few......
the freshman sitting on the yard until 2 or 3 in the morning acting like they don't have an 8 a.m. class the next day..
checking into my dorm only to find out that our room keys are not ready yet
not being able to complete registration, dropp, or add classes because the system is down!
books that cost $460.00 (I only have 12 credits)
Only being able to take 12 credits because all of the classes you need are offered at the same time!
The wonderful helpful people in the various offices..(financial aid, housing, cashier)
The senior boys praying on freshman girls who think the guys REALLY DO like them.
community bathrooms... need I say more?
fish or chicken every other day in the cafeteria
AND THE GREATEST OF ALL!!
Opening my door to leave my room and having my door knob fall off on both sides!!!!
OH YES IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK AT JSU!!!

Hey Sorors and SFs:
Yes, back to school. I am excited. I will be continuing classes towards my Masters in Health Science. I tend to be excited at first ( ya know...the newness) then after like, two weeks I'm like "What the heck am I doing?"
I had been out for 5 years so I was READY!!! The real world is all good and the $ is really all to the good...but it's something about the "comfortability" of school. Everyone seems to understand the "You know I am a struggling student so..." scenario.
Good luck to all who are begining a new chapter in the book that is your life or finishing up the chapter titled "My College Years."
Undergrad is a LOT different than Grad school though so don't be fooled. Whose feeling me on this?
PEACE

School starts for me on the 29th. I just spent $400.00 on books. I wish I was working on my masters right about now. I am still working for that bachelors. I want to say good luck to every one also. I know some of us will not post as much doing the school year as we did in the summer. I have to learn some disicipline with this internet stuff. I had to get a new computer and all that time without the net I was going crazy. Now I have to move so I will be without it for awhile again after sat. So once again good luck and I hope everyone has a great year!
Good luck to all the interest (like myself) who are praying that this is their year. I am praying with yall.
Much love to all my people

I sure hope that everyone takes advantage of internet bookstores like
efollet.com
textbooks.com
ecampus.com
Do a search or go to www.ask.com and ask where you can buy textbooks.
There are a myriad of sites. I had to buy two texboks that were both almost $160. I got one for $75 and another for 63.50 at textbooks.com They have great delivery service 2-3 buisness days. And your pockets will thank you!
My classes started yesterday!
