Rudey, I may be wrong but I think you're thinking about Cleveland.

I'm a native Cincinnatian and I love my hometown! Most of my advice is food related. You must have Graeter's ice cream. I had it shipped to me once when I was pregnant. Nothing else compares, imho. I also love LaRosa's pizza and Skyline chili.

There are wonderful museums. Union Terminal now hosts the Natural History Museum. Across the river in Kentucky is a new aquarium about which my children rave.

There's always Kings Island. We'll be visiting there next weekend during Proctor and Gamble Days.

Enjoy your stay! I hope that you have a great time.

If I could make one tiny correction... Cincinnati is spelled with one N, then 2Ns, then 1 T.

Cincinnati also just opened the National Underground Railroad Museum. I plan to visit next time I am in Cinci.

Regarding Skyline chili.....I must tell you, it is definately an aquired taste and after 8 years of being married to a Cinci native who loves his Skyline I have not aquired it. It is NASTY! Sorry AXOjen

The Riverwalk (I think that is what it is called) is a neat area and there are some cute resturants down there. Can't remember any names though.

I am in KY and we have skyline and graeters (love love ice creams!)

However, I agree on the SkyLine thing- they put cinnamon in the recipe and it just does not taste right!

Eclipse, you're breaking my chili-loving heart!

I can see where Cincinnati chili is an acquired taste. Rudey, it has chocolate and cinnamon in it. It's not at all like Texas chili.

Now you have the famous person city's correct! But I don't know if Marge Schott's house is still in her estate's ownership. She died this past March.

For starters - Skyline is most certainly not like Texas chili. It is very much an acquired taste.

Second of all - Marge Schott died???!!!??? I remember when I was lil' she'd come off when some "i hate the *insert minority* people". And then all the Reds players would have to be like "i'm sorry she said this". And she had those dogs, that she let run on the field before the games and the players had to pick up the poop. Ahhh - those were the days of Red's Baseball
