Anyone go to UTD, TCU, or TWU???
I was just wondering what sorority recruiment would be like there in the spring? I am thinking of going to those schools in the metroplex, and I will be a transfer. I am from a school that doesn't have a greek system so if I am not a freshman am I too old?

There are bunches of people on here from Texas! I'm sure you can find someone to help you. The age thing varies by chapter though.....

i went to help out with TCU recruitment, and it seems very competitive in the fall... but i think its more relaxed in the spring because not every group has 600 girls to sift through. its a very greek school though.
TWU i dont think being older would be much of an issue, from what i can tell. i haven't had a lot of experience with AGD AOPI or Tri Sigma there, but from what i can tell its a pretty relaxed sorority community, and its a smaller school as well.

Just to clarify-are you talking about TWU as in Texas Wesleyan U, or Texas Woman's U?

I think she was talking about Texas Women's because its in the same area. Am I right on this? I just moved to the Big D so I am still confused about where things are.

That was my first thought as well, but Wesleyan is in Fort Worth...which is where TCU is, so I got confused! I think there's only one NPC sorority at Wesleyan (Alpha Xi Delta), but I could DEFINITELY be wrong.

That's what I thought! I also thought they had AGD as well...But I went to Wesleyan's student life web-site, and I could only find Alpha Xi Delta listed on their organizations listing (there are no links to anything on there, so I couldn't even double check it against a college Panhellenic site).
Thanks for the correction!

We have open chapters at Illinois Wesleyan, Nebraska Wesleyan, and West Virginia Weseyan as well as a resolved chapter at Ohio Wesleyan, but we have never had one at Texas Wesleyan. We do have a chapter at Texas Women's.

Whoops! Saw "recruitment" and posted the fall info. Then re-read it and saw that you'll be here in the spring!
Anyway, UTD has 2 NPC organizations: Theta and Alpha Gam. There's not a formal recruitment in the spring. Instead, each group has the opportunity to have continuous open bidding to get back up to total.
I hope we see you in the spring!
