25 SAE-Tenn pledges arrested
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. Knoxville police say University of Tennessee fraternity pledges hired a school bus to take them to an off-campus keg party.
They get points for avoiding drinking and driving, but police Lieutenant David Rausch says no one at the party was 21.
Twenty-five students were cited for underage consumption and the owners of the house were charged with providing alcohol to minors. Four other students were also charged with public intoxication.
The keg party was thrown for pledges of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
The fraternity's U-T chapter was placed on a year's probation in 2002 after a female student claimed she was raped after getting drunk at the fraternity's house on campus.
