Smile thank you all- updated

UPDATE- Its me again. Yeah the "I told you so" is right to an extent. And it was really tough that I was cut on my b-day. I was trully shocked about everything. Please all who read try to remember that just because some girls are older or are more advanced in credits does not mean that you should cut them off because they will not be in a sorority as long as a freshman. Think about it, you could be missing out on a really great girl! Plus many girls end up quiting their chapters; so who is to say that oldies aren't good enough. Many already know what they want, are mature, and can offer great insight; a great addition to any sorority. Yes my grades may have hurt me, but like a thread I read before, they could have asked special permission to bring me on board, it is clear that in my transcripts-a's b's that I am improving, and my extra ciricular list is impressive. Panhellinic should raise the gpa, what's the point of rushing if you can't get in to any, its like just handing over money to embarass yourself. And one more thing if they were supposed to save spots for juniors, how come they found a way around it and cut most of them. If you ask me that's just wrong. I am not trying to make myself feel better, but just speaking out for former PNM'S who are adavanced and have been let down. Thanks to all, and perhaps I'll post a new one if I get lucky and get into COB.

Ouch, that hurts on your birthday. Sorry that you didn't get in. It is hard for sophmores, juniors, and seniors to get in, because the sororities are looking for freshmen who will show committment for four years (or five). The reason why that there is a set GPA for sororities is because they want to PNMs be given a chance. You are a smart girl, but you need to work on your GPA. If you can get your GPA up, then you shold consider COB or spring rush. So, don't give up. You never know...

I'm sorry you didn't get the experience you had hoped for, but remember, there is a lot more to college than sororities! Get involved on campus and get those grades up!
