Hotep Brothers. Bro. Moderator(s), why are my threads being censored? I come only in peace, but I am by no shape form or fashion a shiftless, shuffling, complacent, huck-a-buck type BLACKMAN who does not question unfair practice(s). As a GOD FEARING BLACK MAN first & foremost I am a bit disturbed about my threads being removed without consideration. It appears that a divisive, child-like demeanor has prevailed w/an "elitist" vibe that has been promoted from within. This is very sad, and one must remember that though Bro. DuBois did propose the "talented-tenth" to be the spokesperson for the Black Race he eventually recanted such, because he realized the mispriorities this bunch of intellectuals concentrated on. Again, I come & depart in peace. Censorship of a fellow Alpha from within an Alpha room is a sad reflection of the times. Is it any wonder why there exists questions relative to the MIP and the brotherhood of today who seemingly have FORGOTTEN the aura and beauty of ALPHAMEN being CORDIAL and FRATERNAL toward each other despite their differences? Black Fraternalism has many levels, and I am willing to state for the record that an ALPHA BROTHER is an ALPHA BROTHER provided he holds true to the AIMS & IDEALS which are NOT subjective. Good Brother in the rules of the room it clearly states that all discussions on hazing will be deleted, Frat or no frat. I also support any free discussion of opinions but those statements that conflict with the Aims of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated will not be tolerated. I understand you stance and agree with somethings on how you feel about the state of Alpha but even when Pledging was legal Brother there were still rules and roles to be followed that were consistant with the aims of Manly Deeds, Scholarship and Love For All Mankind. The discourse of change can only come about in Alpha in Alpha and not through a chat board where things you say may be used against the Fraternity at a later time. Your opinion is valued but disrepsect of women will not be tolerated for the highest ideals are stated in the oath.
