Your "First Time" - A Good or Bad Experience?
During my monthly girls nite out with my friends and I last night, we were sitting around drinking wine and talking about just about every topic imaginable. One of the things we discussed was what the first time we had sex was like. Some of us said it was a good experience, some said not. Some said we were in relationships, some not, etc.
So, how would you characterize your first time? Any regrets? Or are you happy with how it happened?

I have no shame....
My first time was after Homecoming during my senior year in High School. I with my boyfriend of then 3 months (we're not together anymore). We were both virgins so neither had a CLUE as to what we were doing. It was awful.
I definitely don't regret it. I can look back on it laugh. In fact, I hung out with him the other day and we were both joking around about how bad it was. At least we can laugh about it!

I had a very good experience. It was my freshman year in college and I had been going out with this guy for 4 months and was in love. We "did it" at a motel 6 b/c he failed out of school and I had to come and visit him here in Austin at his parents house. I distinctly remember watching the gulf war on TV (oh that soooo dates me).

I guess I have to say bad. I left crying. It was at my house and I left him there! What a birthday present. In hindsight, I probably wasn't ready but can't change that now.

Good. The guy and I were head over heels in love with each other, and I went into it with no expectations because I had heard that often for a girl the first time is an experience that kind of sucks. It was very sweet though and very much an expression of love and I was definitely kind of young when it happened (a HS junior) but two years later I don't think it's anything I will ever regret.

I laughed through the whole thing. (Out of relief - see my other post.)

I was "in love" as well and had been dating the guy for about 4 months. I was 15 and thought we were ready for anything. It happened in the loft of his neighbors garage. It was the first time for both of us and I truly don't remember anything except it wasn't terrible.

My first time was with my husband, but we were only dating at the time. Somehow I just knew he was "The One" ... I never believed in "saving myself for marriage" but I'm glad I've only been with him. We were both virgins, and I think he feels the same way about only having been with me.

My first time was so awful. I thought it was going to be so great because I had the hugest crush on this senior football quarterback and we hung out and then afterwards I was so embarassed every time I saw him and he told all his friends and stuff. The whole situation was just bad in general.

my first time was everything i could have asked for. i was a junior in high school, and really the first in my group of friends to do it. (though now, i'm the one with the fewest 'notches in the headboard') i had been dating the guy for 6 months (we ended up dating for over 3 years) and he was the perfect gentleman about it. there was never any pressure, and it was my decision from the get go. it didn't hurt, and was a very positive experience. we always thought we were going to get married, and i think sometimes we'd still be toghether now if we could have 'grown up' in a little different way. i don't regret anything about that day, or that weekend. i'm glad it happened the way it did

Borrrrinnng. Everything up to it was fine, but the sex itself was totally uninteresting.

It was pretty good as I recall, but my most vivid memory was being petrified until her next period came along. Unwanted pregnancy was a much bigger thing in the sixties than it is today.

WORLD's OLDEST virgin?!?
Yep I'm 19 and still a virgin. I guess that's a good thing, but sometimes I feel like I'm missing out. I've had opportunities, but felt I wasn't ready. In some ways I feel like I should wait till I'm married, but sometimes I feel I should just wait until I'm engaged or at least in love (true love). How will I know if I'm really in love though? Grrr... Guess I shouldn't worry about it right now since I haven't even had a date since last August.

Bad, bad, bad....
Horrible. Lost it on a balcony in new Orleans, overlooking Bourbon St, like something outta a trashy Jackie Collins novel. Oh, yeah, there was a 20 year age difference between us. Ewwwwww. When I got home I had an urge to iron EVERYTHING in sight. (just kidding). It was anonymous, cheap and taudry. I had waited a long time, and it wasnt for that experience. Took me a fist full of Xanax just to get through the week after. The part that got me was that it wasnt with someone I cared for, and i was FLUCKED UP drunk. I was very angry with myself that I allowed alcohol to affect my judgement and decision making skills to that extent. I am ok with it now. Just chalked it up to an experience, and no major damage was done. (used a condom, and it was all ok - STD wise) Its prettty anecdotal now.

Horrible doesnt describe it. I lost mine to a boy who was three years older than me who took it from me. I didn't get to give my virginity to anyone. DId I mention I was only 14, and I started high school two weeks later where he went.
