Question Alpha Phi at SDSU

Hi! I'm a freshman at San Diego State University and I'm probably going to rush this spring. I don't know anything about the Alpha Phi chapter at SDSU and I'm having a really hard time finding any information on it! I have emailed the greek office at my school many times over the course of this semester (they have NEVER gotten back to me ) and I don't think their website is up to date, so I can't email the chapter president to ask about it. I have never had the chance to talk to any sisters and I've searched this forum looking for a possible Alpha Phi from SDSU to talk to, but I haven't had any luck.
I don't want to pass up what could be a great opportunity just because I couldn't find out anything about it! Are there any Alpha Phis from SDSU on this board, or does anyone know any Alpha Phis from SDSU who could tell me about the chapter here?

Any other information/advice would also be appreciated.
Thanks!

Don't rely so much on email or easy means of communication.

Get out there and go to Greek life office and find out which sororities will be holding Spring Recruitment. Your best bet would be to go after Winter break, that way chapters know how many of their members are returning/have left. While you're there, let them know that you're interested in Spring Recruitment.

GC is a great place to get general advice, but one shouldn't rely solely on this site (or websites in general) to get information.

After all, that's what recruitment is for -- meeting the sisters and finding out what the chapter's all about.

sdblonde - I had already been initiated here in Virginia, but I was pretty set on transferring to SDSU and I contacted them through their website (this was almost 2 yrs ago). They were extremely welcoming and I actually visited them when I checked out the school....turns out I ended up not transferring but I got an AWESOME impression from them. Depending on SDSU's rules for recruitment, i.e. contact, you can still email someone from the chapter, even if it isn't up to date. Just tell them you were hoping to get in contact with someone for information on Rush and you would like to be pointed in the right direction!

Also I think their house looks a lot like the Brady Bunch house...that's all though!

I agree with everyone else, websites are no substitute for meeting actual sisters. Anyway, I'm originally from the San Diego area and a few of my childhood friends are Alpha Phi's @ SDSU. They are a great group. All the groups there are full of amazing women.

Thanks so much for all your help!
The websites are usually not too much help, but I do like to know general information (how many members there are, what the philanthropies are, average gpas, etc) but I definitely want to meet people too. I've been talking to blinkingstar182 and she's been very helpful as well.
