Favorite Drink Recipes

I'm going on vacation to the shore next week and I want to do a "Drink/Shot of the Day."

So.....

What's everyone's favorite summer drink recipes? So far, all I have on my list is Blonde Moment, which I will share with everyone here to kick off the list.

1 oz Bacardi Limon
1/2 oz Blue Curacao
1/3 oz Grenadine
1 1/2oz Sweet and Sour Mix
1 Splash club soda

Mix over ice, drain, and serve with a cherry.

Natually, everyone that submits/uses a drink is 21, right?

Mint Bucket

This is a large scale drink. You'll need around 7-15 people to drink this (and with 7, you're all sure to have a good time).

Step 1 -- get a bowl, at least 5 gallon capacity.

Add ingredients directly to bowl in this order:

Freshly cut mint leaves -- cover the bottom of the bowl with them.

Cover the mint leaves with a layer of ice cubes.

Chopped fruit -- I'd suggest grapes, strawberries, peaches, no melons, cherries, blackberries, blueberries, etc.

Cover the fruit with ice. (quite a bit of it this time)

Add 2 cans of pink lemonade

Add 1 bottle of Gingerale.

Add a 1.25 liter bottle of vodka.

Allow to sit for about 15 minutes DO NOT STIR.

********

This is a social drink. Therefore, we do not use cups. Everyone must drink out of the bowl with straws. Use forks or spoons to eat the fruit. It's good stuff. This drink has been a family thing for around 3 generations now.

My favorite summer martini is 2 parts Island Blue Pucker, one part Orange Vodka, shake and pour.

I had a drink last night at the bar called Spiderman. Not sure of the amounts, but it was Grenadine and Vodka on the bottom, then Blue Curacao and Sierra Mist on the top. It was cool because it was the same blue and red colors as spiderman It tasted really good, too.

I'm also a huge fan of Midori in the summer. My favorite Midori drink is the Midori Illusion Shaker. It's HUGE in Australia.

2oz Midori
1/2oz Triple Sec
1/2oz Vodka
Lemon Juice
Top with Pineapple Juice

Shake it up and take shots of it

Midori
Peach Schnapps
Pineapple Juice

Chilled, shaken

I'm pilfering this recipe from a restaurant here in Raleigh that just closed: the drink is called Orange Crush. You mix Stoli Vanil, Triple Sec, and Orange Crush. It tastes like an orange creamsicle, and is very yummy!!

It was Vertigo Diner in downtown Raleigh. They just closed Saturday night-such a shame, the place had wonderful food, and creative drinks.

Vanilla Coke (Stoli Vanil & Coke)

Haven't tried it yet but I think Bacardi O would be good with a shot of banana schnapps.
