what's the oldest piece of clothing you own (and still may wear?)

Random question of the day:
What is the oldest piece of clothing that you have and still might wear (baby clothes don't count!).

Today I found among my t-shirts one I had from the 6th grade (I was 11 then, now i'm 22- i've had it for HALF MY LIFE!). It is in perfect shape, thanks to my mom's great laundry skills throughout the years. So I put it on this morning cause i'm just studying all day, and it's the MOST COMFORTABLE thing ever!

I have a polo from when I was 14 (that's 2 decades ago for those of you who are counting). It is getting rather see-through though.

Oh, and not the oldest clothing to me, but I have a vintage cashmere coat from circa 1950's. It is in better shape than some of my newer stuff.

I have a black cashmere blend coat form the 1930's given to me by my great-grandmother before she died. I have ahd the lining replaced, but the coat is in excellent shape. I agree with kddani, it is holding up better than most of my other stuff.

I also have a red sweater vest from my 10'th grade year. I still wear it around. It's in great shape.

I have this old Tampa Bay Bandits half-shirt with no sleeves. It is SO comfy, but I only wear it around the house, lol.

I have a Chanel bag from my grandmother from the thirties, but I keep that wrapped and put away and only use it for very special occasions.

I have a pair of Sebago Docksiders I bought in 8th grade (we're talking 1981 here). I saved money from my summer job to buy them; they were the unheard-of price of $39.99! lol They're pretty ragged but I still wear them

Oldest thing that I brought with me to college is definetly a t-shirt that I got at the Governer's Cup soccer tournament in Topeka KS. I got that in May of 8th grade so it's 5 going on 6. I usually just wear to work out, or perhaps as an undershirt, but like everyone else has said about their old clothes...it's really comfortable.

An old USFL team (or some obscure league, I can't even remember). They were coached by Steve Spurrier *vomit*.

I used to live in Tampa, so my mother was a fan and bought me the shirt.

I have an old softball jersey from when I was 9. It's lookin' a bit rough, but I love it and still wear it around.

Tracy - I still have/wear my boat-mocs too but I didn't get them till around 11th grade (we didn't get the trends as fast out in hickland, hee hee). The shoes before those were those horrid things with the giant crepe soles...

I have some Gap turtle necks and Guess Jeans circa 1986-1987 I still wear though the jeans are a bit ragged. I just cleaned out my closet for charity-I think I had about 30 wrap skirts in there-I can't imagine wearing those again.

Wow, and I thought my six-year-old letter sweatshirt was old. I wear it when I write: I open the window so the cold air comes in at night and put it on. It's hunter green, a color I can't stand, and has red-and-green plaid letters on white backing with "Kappa Kappa Gamma" embroidered in script underneath. It's worn down on the inside but I think the outside's made of iron. It's also three sizes too big. I lost weight after college, so nothing from that era fits me anymore.

KappaStarboy won't let me wear it out in public

Two things...

I have a windbreaker with Watkins Glen US Grand Prix, Triumph, Austin Healey and Mid Ohio Sports Car Course patches on it that I had in High School (pre-1965).

I also have a green jacket with a shamrock and "O'Halloran's Tipperary Pub" in white on the back and over the left chest area. It was given to me on my last night at a TV station in Detroit in 1984.

They both still fit. Sort of. If I don't try to zip up the windbreaker.
