Significant Other's Roommates
I am wondering about this. this came up several times, whenever I am dating, guys dont like that I am going to move with or live with a guy/guys. What can I say??? I believe that I wont live with a boyfriend before marriage. unless they were to pay my rent in an all girls place I would be fine but until then I am going to move to a place with two guys. What are your thoughts? have you been in this situation before?

I've never personally been in this situation but have friend's who have lived with guys while having a boyfriend. It has always not been a problem cuz the boyfriend trusted them. Also I have always heard that guys often make better roommates then girls for a TON of reasons.

If he's not paying the rent, he doesn't have a say.
I have lived w/ guys I wasn't dating, it was fine...in some ways more functional than living w/ other women.

currently my best friend is living with two guys and recently her and her boyfriend broke up
it has nothing to do with her living situation, but because of it his friends are convinced that was the reason why
the only problem i have about her living there is the mess! i help clean up all the time, but people walk in and out of that apt. so often that it is constantly dirty!!
other than that she gets a long great with the guys, not to mention one of them is her friends boyfriend.

For the first few months when I moved in with Mr. KillarneyRose, I had three male roommates: him, and two of his shipmates who were renting his extra bedrooms. I loved it; it was like having the two older brothers I never had as a kid. Plus whenever Mr. KillarneyRose had duty (ie he had to stay on the ship overnight), they would take me out to dinner or whatnot.
I think guys make great roommates; for the most part I like them more than I do girls.

I have 5 male roommates, and my boyfriend isn't one of them. He is perfectly fine with it, and I'm just friends with all the guys. As long as you don't give your boyfriend any reason to worry, he has no right to complain about it.

when my sister got engaged she moved in with my now brother-in-law and 2 other flight navigators- a male and a female. My sister told me she loved it as since one, two or all 3 would be over-seas for anywhere from 10days to 6 weeks it kept things changing- one week she might just have a female roommate, the next she might be there by herself, followed by having her fiance and a male roommate. And now that she and my bro-in-law have a house the former roommates come over to do laundry and they get together at least once a week to eat dinner.

My last year at school I lived with all guys. They were my boyfriends' friends actually. I liked living with all guys better, sure sometimes they were messy, but I felt like I could tell them to clean up easier then telling girls bc guys dont take things like that personally. (Maybe I was just more use to guys too since I have all brothers.)
I think that it is def a matter of trust. The only thing that you can really say is that they are friends, or explain why you live with guys. I dont see why it should be a problem unless he was a real jealous type (which you might not want anyways or there was a reason for him not to trust you or a particular guy in the house.)
