I'll admit it... I read it...

While there was a healthy helping of "sensationalism" there was some interesting tidbits of information. Unforunately I think the success of this book is what inspired her to try and top it by writing a sensational expose of sororities.....

I think some smart person just told her to sit down and write what she knows. In her early 20's she knows, school, college.

So she writes about it. And the quarter life crisis, where she is writing about being in her 20's.

i think she writes about things that she wanted, but couldn't get. she prolly wanted to be in yale's skull and bones society, but wasn't invited in. and she prolly wanted to be in a sorority but couldn't get in those either. she's just bitter

Well she wrote about Skull & Bones because that would sell the book... she however did go over the history (well open history) of secret societies at Yale including her own, as well as presenting different myths about the societies and evidence for or against these myths....
