The movie Fahrenheit 9/11.
How many of you guys are going to see it, I've been waiting for this movie to hit theaters, not b/c it is a slap @ the Bush Adminstration but b/c I feel it will shed light on things that the Bush Adminstration would rather we not know about.

The Christian Science Monitor's film critic was interviewed on MSNBC last night and described it more or less as an editorialized documentary. He called it at times interesting, and at times self-serving and over the top in its political slant. Basically if you dislike GWB, you'll love this and if you like him you probably won't like the movie.
I'll probably see it, but then I tend to have interest in most things political...I'm really waiting for Denzel Washington's remake of The Manchurian Candidate).

Moore: Americans are 'The Dumbest People on the Planet'
Americans currently flocking to see Michael Moore's movie "Farenheit 9/11" might be surprised to learn how little respect the Democratic Party's leading propaganda-meister has for them.
''They are possibly the dumbest people on the planet," Moore told Britain's Mirror newspaper recently, referring to his fellow citizens as a whole.

...just curious, LS6,
Who is praising Michael Moore? Axeam said he enjoyed the movie and I offered a characterization of a CSM critic's movie review. How does either post translate to praise of MM?
His remarks on Americans mean nothing to me because he doesn't know THIS American.

Many people in the media, the Democratic Party and some that hate GWB praise Michael Moore.. Let me be Clearer...this post is for ANY American that supports Michael Moore.
I just wanted those that support Michael Moore to know exactly how he feels about Americans. And you can single out yourself..and that's cool...but he is referring to ALL Americans.

I read your previous post and I just am not buying it. It seems to me that the statement can be(and probably was) taken out of context. Besides, you know you can't believe EVERYTHING you read.

You don't have to buy it sweety cause i'm not selling anything...people believe what they want to believe...for the most part Bush haters will doubt the validity of the article...and on the converse...Bush supporters will doubt the validity of the assertions in Michael Moore's movie..

We were not singing Moore's praises but .......you must admit Ms. LS6 as Americans some of us do fall for anything like.
* Iraq had WMD's
* Iraq had ties to Bin Laden
* The war w/ Iraq was justified.
* Saudi Arabia is our friend.
* That Bush is concerned about working class America.
* That the economy is doing well.
* That Faherheit 9/11 would not appeal to the American public.

I have mixed feelings about Michael Moore. I like some things, and dislike others. For the most part, I feel that his comments about Americans being "dumb" is right on. Of the "industrialized" countries, we are the less informed in terms of international affairs. It's fine to disagree with how he phrased it. But, I believe that he has a point.
