I tried to watch the first two Harry Potter movies and I have to admit I didn't get the crossover appeal. They seemed like fun kids movies but I have no clue why so many grownups like them. It's not that I don't like kids movies. I loved Lilo & Stitch and Finding Nemo. Just didn't get this one. I always figured it was because I didn't read the books and the book is usually better than the movie.

The whole magic/sci fi genre doesn't interest me...

I've tried seeing those kinds of movies (Matrix, Harry Potter, LOTR) and it just makes me sleepy.

With the exception of Harry Potter, (though I find the first two movies hard to sit thru in their entirty) fantasy/sci fi stuff never really interested me.

I wasn't rushing to the theaters to see LoTR, never got into Charmed (maybe it was Shannon Dorherty), X-files freaked me out, and I started getting bored with the Matrix movies.

I'll read the books. The soundtracks may even be groovy. I'll watch Disney movies once in a while... but unless there is a major draw (i.e George Lucas is involved) I'll probably wait until the hype dies down.

I don't like any of that stuff -- I swear, sometimes I think I'm the only one.

Glad to know I'm not the only one not into the LOTR and Harry Potter (Hairy Pooter) craze.

Which Harry Porter books did you read.

Personally, I didn't like 1-3..I didnt bother reading.

Try the 4th and 5th Books, you might like it

I obsolutely hate that Charmed show...never made it thru a full episode

Agreed... the first 2 books are made for kids so therefore may not be of interest. My dad didn't get into the series until the 3rd book, but hasn't continued on with the series.

I agree! I watched Charmed, but I've never been into Harry Potter or LOTR. I actually fell asleep while reading the first HP book, and I was reading it outloud :-)
