Newbie!
Hey girls! I'm a newly initiated Indiana Zeta. I was part of the Spring 2004 pledge class.
In response to some earlier threads:
For our lavaliering ceremony, the guy writes a poem or letter to the sister being lavaliered. During the candle passing, the girl's 3 best friends from Pi Phi read parts of the poem and then they announce who is being lavaliered and by whom. It's a really neat ceremony. At almost every chapter this past semester, we had a lavaliering.
For our crush dance tshirt this past February, we had "The next best thing to being a Pi Phi is dating a Pi Phi." They are REALLY cute.
A song we sing A LOT is to the tune of Heart and Soul:
Pi Beta Phi
You are the one for me
Wouldn't want another, here's where I should be
I love the arrow
I want to be a Pi Beta Phi
I wear the colors wine and silver blue
I love the sweetheart song and the anthem too
You were meant for me and I for you my Pi Beta Phi
Pi Beta Phi
I'm heading to Gatlinburg this summer to visit some family members and definitely plan on making a visit to Arrowmont. Hope to hear from any of you soon!!!!!
Pi Phi love and mine,
Holly
