Thinking about pledging.............

Hi!
Im going to be attending Texas State in San Marcos as a Junior this fall and I was thinking about joining a Sorority. I was looking at some of the websites and Delta Gamma looked like a fun group that was down to earth. Maybe I've seen one too many after school specials (hahaha), but the media usually portrays most groups to be a little snobby and unaccepting. I was just wondering if those of you in the group have had positive experiences and also how open Delt Gamma seems to be about being multi-cultural. Any honest comments or advice would be appreciated. Thanks alot!

i don't know how it is with the chapters where you are from, but our chapter in NC seems to be pretty open to anyone. as long as you have the kinds of characteristics we are looking for and are an upstanding woman, it shouldn't matter what race, religion, color, or any other factor you are. DG's are a wonderful group of women and i love them dearly. they will always have a place in my heart. some of my closest friends are now delta gammas. but remember, when you are going through recruitment, you have to realize that each organization has its own strengths and weaknesses. you just have to see which one you fit in best. good luck!
