As a mom-to-be I've been looking through parenting sites and I found this article on hazing, that not only did NOT mention Greeks (Thank you for not sterio-typing ) But it mentions some positive alternatives to hazing...

I just wanted to say to this article!!!

It didn't mention GLO's because it was written for high-school parents and students.

It mentions college in the article and I was just shocked to find a hazing article that didn't mention Greeks...even if it was aimed at high school

It DOES mention fraternities & sororities in the 2nd paragraph, so it certainly does mention GLOs. It just doesn't dwell on them, aiming at the hazing done in high schools.

AH Hazing, My Most unfavorite word!

Once again Greeks lead the pack.

While we have led the pack to do away with this, oops, well, there is hazing in High Schools, Athletic Teams, Bands, etc.

It finally now comes to light that Greeks were not the only ones who did it.

But, it seems that We took most of the Blame.

It also seems that those that do it are just written off as pranks while we still get 10 kinds of Hell!

If my Chapter did what they did in Suburbia Chicago, damn, full steam ahead fire the rockets and kill that Chapter.

But, We are Adults, We go to college and mostly are over 18.
