Recruitment Expansion

I just had a pretty meaty battle with our Coord. of Greek Life on the behalf of my colony and I was just wondering what it's like on other campuses.

For those of you who know -

If an IFC Fraternity has a colony on campus can they recruit during Formal Recruitment?

For Univ. of Tenn. at Martin COLONIES are not allowed, but their prospects are REQUIRED to go through formal recruitment where we are in NO WAY represented....interesting....

Let me know....

I seem to remember one of the other guys on here mentioning something similar, I forget who it was though. How long have you guys been a colony?

We are actually a part of Sigma Chi's New Chapter Development Program where Internationals came and recruited the frist 15 and that was done in September.

You know what, I really do love my GLO - I wrote a long email to our regional guy and he has already responded...Sigma Chi is great - can't wait to be a brother!

Unhappy

EX, this is BS in my eyes.

When I started My Local, we could participate, but got none!

If you are a member if NIC Fraternities of which SX is, they should have the right to Recruit.

As I am sure aware, LXA is Re Chartering at UTK!

All I can say, is Great Luck to Both of YOU!

Kick some major Butt LXA and SX!

If you've been functioning as a colony for a year, there is no reason you shouldn't rush the same as the rest of the fraternities.

IFC is not a national organization, so the rules will vary by campus. At private schools, which GWU is, the rules may be bizarre. You should really contact Sigma Chi HQ with your questions. They should be act as your colony's advocate.
