Thats kind of messed up. He should be less judgemental if he expects you to feel comfortable with him.

It just sounds like he "acts" older. There are people like that of a wide variety of actual ages, however, you are not responsible for your friends' behavior so don't have to justify it.

Also, he should be . . . self focused enough not to care how others are bahving.

And honestly, thats a little mean to make anide comment like that in an attempt to make you feel bad because of your friends.

even if I thought that way about some of my boyfriend's friends, I would NEVER come out and say it. that was just rude. your friends are your friends, and he shouldn't be so judgemental after meeting them just once.

I agree with everyone here. On the inappropriateness scale, I think his comment far outweighed any silly behavior your friend displayed. He should not judge them before he gets to know them and if he's really interested, he should be willing to give them another chance for you before he writes them off. I'd either ditch the guy or talk to him about it.

And 24 is not that old - he should loosen up!

Friends before boys I always say. Some of my ex-boyfriends have not liked my friends. My friends are still in my life and they boys are not which says a lot. Besides most of my friends have always been able to tell when a guy is bad for me. I say not necessarily dump the guy but be cautious and aware.

Exactly, went out with a girl like that. She was from a really rich, high class area and didn't like my ghetto friends from back home. She told me that she didnt want me hanging around "those ppl" anymore, so booted her hooker ass! If ppl want you to change or change your friends then fuck that shit!

DZGirl, I understand what you're going through... Although my situation is a little bit different; different cultural backgrounds rather than age.

But you just go on. My boyfriend has never made me feel bad about the friends I have, or I of his... But we both know that when we want to hang out with our friends, we do it on our own. That may sound shady, but it works for us.

The only bit of advise I have is don't ever let a relationship break up a friendship!

Be there for your friends, they were there before he was.

Good luck~Beth
