Recolonizing at the University of Kentucky!

Hello Ladies! I hope this will all find you well and happy! I just wanted to let you all know how we at UK are doing with our recolonization period!!
!
First, we have about 60 women right now (we have the capacity to hold 110) and we are VERY excited about that! We just did our officer selection process (actually our ELC's did it for us) and now we are starting to feel like a REAL sorority! We have no ideas about when we are going to be installed or initiated, but from what I understand we have a great deal of things to accomplish before we can even think of that!
We have a wonderful retreat planned for us out at Lake Cumberland (about tow hours away from Lexington) this weekend and like everything else, every one is very excited!
this is just a small update!! i will keep posting to let you all how our colony is going!

Thanks for the update, Melanie. You should be very happy about having 60 women -- that's phenomenal progress!! Have a great time at Lake Cumberland this weekend; retreats are SO good for giving everyone that lovey, bonded feeling!

That rocks! One of my sisters was a legacy - her mom was from Xi chapter, and she had passed down her Quill to her daughter. It always make me sad to see a closed chapter. Good to hear you're back and doing well!

Yay-I am so glad for you all at Xi chapter!! But do more stuff with your receant alums-okay so I am biased 'cause I went alum last year from Xi- guess I will have to get on Melliebea in German class =)

We would love to do more with the Alums at UK!! and It hink that we will... just wait till FOunders Day!!! trust me!

Hey Melanie! Guess I'm not the only UK girl who found this site!

I'm sooo excited about how things are going for us, too, it's great! The retreat was great, I'm so happy to have been chosen as an officer (publicity chair), and I'm looking forward to all the good stuff coming.

I'd like to do stuff with alums, too -- it'd be fun! I've heard there's one in Phi Sigma Pi (honors frat) with me, and my friends know some, but I haven't met them yet.

To IrishAZD -- I'm pretty sure we're doing Founder's Day stuff on April 13th (a Saturday). And do I understand right that you're in Mel's German class? I gave her my old tests (I was in it last semester)...get her to get you a copy if she hasn't already!
