I'm not sure if that's what you call it, but you know when you go to Google for example and start typing in what you want to search for. Say you start typing an "A" and stop. Every word you've ever searched for that starts with A automatically comes up for you to choose from in a drop down menu.
I don't want old searches to come up because I sometimes share a computer at my parent's home. How can I turn this off?
Clean out your cookies when you're done using the computer. If you don't know how to do this, search on "cookies" - I think we've talked about it on here before.

Thanks for the help 33girl. I had done all of that - deleted cookies and all temp files but it was still happening. Since posting though I have figured it out!
If can anyone else has the same problem in IE, go to Tools and Internet Options. Then select the Content tab and Autocomplete. Uncheck all of the autocomplete options and clear the autocomplete history. That finally solved the problem.
