Ok, well...I hate that damn "bye bye miss american pie drove my chevy to the levy..."song. I hate that song!! Its so long. And while yes losing Buddy Holly and the other two men(whose names, i'm sorry I forgot at the moment) were quite a loss.....seriously do you think Buddy Holly - the fun, goofy singer wanted a long, drawn out song about him written. AHHH!!

Another song is that barbie girl song. It just gets on my nerves.

The other two who 'bought the farm' with Buddy Holly in Cedar Lake, Iowa 'the day the music died' were Ritchie Valens (La Bamba, Donna) and J.P. 'The Big Bopper' Richardson (Chantilly Lace). Waylon Jennings was supposed to have been on the airplane but traded spaces with Richardson.

Don McLean's American Pie is a good song, but unbelievably long-winded. I can understand why you hate it.

Whenever I hear Jay Z and Beyonce's version of Me and My Girlfriend (I don't care what they call it), I always make sure I listen to the better, original, Tupac version.

Thanks! I just couldn't remember their names. But I remember the Waylon part from VH1's Behind the Music. THanks again!

I nominate that horrible "Tiptoe Thru the Tulips" for this list. I've only heard it once, but I don't like it. It scares me. It reminds me of something out of a horror movie.

There last gig was actually in CLEAR Lake Iowa at the Surf Ballroom. I have family there and happen to have to go there this weekend.

Random.... I know. Carry on.

Okay this may not be as conventional, but there's this one song that gets played at work that drives me crazy. At the hotel we have classical music that plays over the speakers, it's nice except for this damn song...

it's a ticking sound like a clock and sounds like someone smacking their tongue on the top of mouth.

do-do, do-do, do
da na na na na na
do-do, do-do, do
da na na na na na

It drives me crazy on overnights, i have to shut the speakers off.
