Everything about Celine irritated the fcuk outta me too, until I went to see her live in Concert when she came here. I liked her onstage personality so much that I even started to like her music. She came back a year later with an even more fabulous show!
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (since the don't like being called "The Olsen Twins" anymore): Even though I bitch and moan everytime their made-for-ABC-Family movies are shown on TV, I still watch them over and over again. I watch "Two of a Kind" and "So Little Time" even though just hearing them SPEAK repulses me. They were on Oprah not too long ago promoting their new movie, but they weren't that bad at all. Still, I wish they could go back to just being Michelle Tanner.

A friend of mine got to go to a Saturday Night Live party and he said that Rob Schnieder was actually really cool and funny.
Never would have seen that coming.

Jenna Jameson
You would think that she would be this slutty, complete idiot but after seeing the E! True Hollywood Story on her, my opinion changed. She speaks very eloquently and she's hilarious. I think she's probably a really cool person.

Dick Clark (the TV guy, not the former presidential advisor) is almost a cliche' to a lot of folks, but I had the chance to work with him a couple of years ago and he is absolutely charming and totally unasuming in person. He also brought his wife of well over 40 years, Carrie, along.

I was reading the 'songs you never want to hear again" thread and noticed a lot of people put John Mayer down. While you may not like his music, he is HILARIOUS in interviews. He has a very interesting way of thinking. He someone you can discuss the ways and means of life over coffee... even if you don't like his music.
ETA: I am a fan of his music though. I am just saying this for everyone else that can't stand him.

I agree...I LOOOVE his music though. But some of his songs are overplayed. He is very charming in interviews.
Another one: Marilyn Manson---I find his whole image an annoying marketing scheme. But if you've ever read anything he's written or seen him in interviews he is VERY intelligent. There's an article that he wrote in Rolling Stone about Columbine Hish School right after it happened that was really good. It's probably in the archives on the Rolling Stone website.

The Rock. I can't stand wrestling, and I've only ever seen him in The Mummy Returns, so I think he generally sucks. However, I have seen him in interviews and I got sucked into watching his episode of Driven, and he seems like a cool guy.

His family values are quite amazing.
And if he ever divorces his wife, I'm next in line. After all, he is Samoan royalty.
