Quiet Guys
I really do not like quiet guys, because they are very hard to talk to. I went out with one a couple of years back, and I tried to get him to talk, but he was quiet throughtout the date. BTW, the date is a blind date. So, so you like quiet guys?

You talk like a strange combination of Rain Man and Dr. Seuss.

I actually went out on a date last weekend with a guy who is real quiet and shy (which is pretty much the same thing). He actually talked on the date but he is really quiet at work and even when I go talk to him at work he is really shy- he is one of those smart mechanical engineers so all he thinks about while he is at work is work. But besides that he is really sweet and interesting. I like quiet guys if you can get them to open up.. There are some taht won't open up and I don't like that. All in all they are just like regular guys

I dated a quiet guy once. At first it drove me nuts because he would want to just be silent when I wanted to talk. But once I got used to it, it was rather nice. We would just sit together, listening to some music and it was very nice.
I'd date a quiet guy again now that I know how to work with it.

Sometimes, the most amazing people are just a little shy, but once they open up to you you'll find something really wonderful! My boyfriend is one of those people... he's pretty quiet until he gets to know you better. We've been dating for almost a year now, and I wouldn't trade him for the world!

I like a quiet guy if he cultivates a sense of mystery about himself. Otherwise I would feel like he was apathetic/socially inept. There's a fine line to walk.

I used to think that I couldn't date quiet guys because I'm loud and obnoxious. Then I met my fiance. He's very quiet, and I've found that we balance each other out. Yeah, he'll complain that I talk too much sometimes (particularly when I strike up random conversations with people in the supermarket checkout line), but he always makes sure to let me know that he misses it when I'm not there. Of course, get a little beer in him and he'll be the most annoying, loud, drunk bastard in the world!
Edited about a month later because I'm too slow to realize that I can't spell.

I had a date once with this guy would was so shy and so quiet it was painful. We went out to dinner and I carried the conversation the whole night. He would answer yes or no toquestions he could otherwise he didn't say anything. The most he said all night was when he ordered his meal.
I'm a pretty quiet person myself but I managed to do all the talking. It was one of the worst dates I'd been on.
needless to say I didn't see him again.

It's so cute when they are shy! I think it is adorable, as long as they are not too shy, like to the point of being dysfunctional. I talk a lot, but it's okay - sometimes shy guys really like to listen.
