Say a little prayer!
Hi, ladies. I'm just beside myself today! There is so much going on in Iraq again, and my husband was supposed to be coming home in the next few weeks! Now, it looks like they might extend the whole division! I just want him to come home!
Keep my family in your thoughts and prayers! We sure need it right now!

Well, things did not go my way. We find out 'officially' tonight that they'll be extended for another four months. This really sucks. I just feel so awful for my husband...Aidan will be seven months before he gets to see him again!

I had to respond to you because I kind of feel a connection.
I am so sorry you have to face this. What a deep disappointment.
I will pray for you to have strength and for your Hubby to be safe.
God bless him for his courage-and God bless you for yours!

Hey AJ. My boyfriend's best friend was supposed to come home tonight around midnight. We found out yesterday that his flight has been cancelled. They do not know yet if he'll be kept over there or on a flight as soon as things let up. I felt so bad because my boyfriend was so excited about him coming home. He was there for 9 months, then home for 2 months, and then sent back. It was supposed to just be a releif mission so another unit could go home for a few months...he's been there for 4 months this time. But now we don't know when he'll be coming home.

Thanks, JAM.
Ours was pretty much the same thing. He was supposed to be home in two weeks! They had all of their stuff packed and everything. He's been there for year starting May 1st, and he had that two week break at Christmas time when Aidan was born. We're all holding on to a little strand of hope that things will settle, and they'll be able to come home before September. I know they won't keep them there any longer than they have to. Everyday a soldier is deployed past the one year mark, they get an extra stipened per day. The government is cheap, so hopefully they'll be back soon!

Well this just totally hit home for me.....
I just found out that my friend Kevin is also in Iraq and is supposed to be there for the next 16 months. I'll be praying for the safety of both him and AJ's husband now!
