Spring informal Recruitment ideas--HELP!

Hello beautiful ladies! I am the new recruitment director of the Zeta Chi chapter at Coastal Carolina University. Im so excited, but terrified at the same time. Our spring informal recruitment begins on January 27, and goes until the 30th. Does anyone have any ideas of themes that we could do for these nights? What do you do in your chapters? Also, what are some good slogans that I can use for flyers and banners and stuff on campus? We have a small chapter and really want to get our name out there... not to mention the fact that I want to do a good job during my first semester on the officer board! Thanks so much!

Congratulations on your office!

Unfortunately, though, I have no wonderful ideas to share with you...my chapter only had to do COB once when I was there and I can't for the life of me remember what we did (in my defense I've been out of school for 7 years now). Best of luck to your chapter....let us know how it turns out!

Board game nights are really fun! Try spontaneous fun games like Catch Phrase and Trivial Pursuit.

We used to do movie nights in our suite where everone would sit around watch movies, eat and talk. Sometimes we even did themed movie nights like "chick flicks" or "80's". They were cheap since we normally raided sisters movie collections and the only real expense was snacks like popcorn and cokes. Sometimes we even hung up movie posters around.

Event parties are also good sometimes like tailgating before a football game at a sisters house or going roller skating.

We also did "coke dates" before a lot of informal recruitment events that way ahead of time some of the guests knew some of the sisters. Coke dates are when one sister invites a potential rushee she knows out with two or three other sisters (and sometimes a few more rushees) to have coffee or dinner somewhere. That is a good way to get to know ahead of time some basics of potential members.

hope that helps some. I know the main requirements for our COB stuff was always cost and ability to pull it off and those things are fairly easy and cheap to do.

We always do some sort of cook-out (smores, hotdogs, all that fun stuff)
And when finales of shows ( bacherlorette ...i can not spell tonite...and other shows like that) we get together with potentials to see the out come. We dont have a house but we are lucky to have a few members that will open their own house up to us to use and stuff...
