Informative programs...like the news or even talk shows?
Would you introduce new types of programs?

Don't know what it would be called but: (in no particular order)
1. we'd have family-oriented sitcoms in the evening that children and adults could watch together (I like the UPN programming),
2. we'd have political talk-shows like Meet the Press (but with African-American moderators and guests) on Sunday mornings and in the afternoon we'd have a tv version of Black Enterprise magazine. Sunday evenings, we'd have a show that presents the latest in politics (kind of like the Tavis Smiley thing on the Tom Joyner show now) and holds a debate from opposing sides
3. we'd have the nightly news with not just news that focuses specifically on African-Americans but news that tells what's going on everywhere b/c it is ALL of significance to African-Americans,
4. we'd have afternoon talk shows like Oprah but also one that is like Dr. Phil kind of thing b/c goodness knows some of us need counseling but we are afraid to go b/c of the stigma that it carries in our community
5. after 10 or so (when the kids should be asleep), we'd have shows like Soul Food
6. we would not have any videos
7. on Saturday afternoons, we'd have Teen Summit
