Convention 2004!

Hey! I was wondering if anybody is going to the Convention in Savannah, Georgia in June? I'm one of the 4 delegates from the Delta Delta Chapter!

I won't be there I'm actually the 2nd back up in case a girl can't go on chapter funds. But 5 sisters from the Delta Tau chapter will be there. Have fun tho!!! I told my sisters that they MUST bring me back something lol

A couple of you wrote that you can't go to convention because you'll be an alumna by then.

I can't believe that your convention is limited only to collegians. What about the inter/national officers, province officials and committee members, chapter advisors, and alumnae club delegates?

It is NOT Limited to ONLY collegians...The young alumnae sometimes think that they can not go because the chapter no longer pays the way...Chapters pay the way for a collegiate delegation of four or more plus Adivsory Board...There are several alumnae members that attend National Convention...Many of whom have never missed one! Thanks for your concern, though.

That's true. Any member of AST can attend convention. However, I know that if convention happened right after I graduated I probably would have balked at the cost. Between a new job, new place to live, etc. attending convention in June (right after a May graduation) would be fun, but overwhelming (at least to me).

I actually never went as a collegian. Started going when I was an alumna and serving on National Staff. So for those of you who can't afford to go this year, you've got a 2 year warning!!! Start saving now!! It's a blast!
