the shy guy- need help!
Ok, I am actually at a loss for words. There is this really hot guy in my yoga class but he seems really shy. I have tried to get a little friendly chitchat going with him and he always answers me, but then dead silence! and i have seen him do it with other people. he just seems really quiet and shy! how do i get him to talk!

Not to get all in the business or anything but weren't you engaged a while back?

This has happened to me very recently. You need to just go talk to him-what do you have to lose!? If he is receptive then cool and if not, whatever you are no worse off then before. But beware, he may, 1) have a girlfriend or 2) be playing for the other team, if you have seen him not being receptive to girls before. But at the very least you can be friendly when you see him again. Ask him if he has a gf and if he says yes then just say it's because you have a friend who would love him. If he says no you can make your move! I swear it works!

I seriously just used that last night and it totally worked. I saw this guy I thought was hot from across the bar and he was more focused on watching the Laker game then any girls. So I figured he's either gay or has a gf. So I went up to him and asked if he had a gf and he said no-why? I told him I knew someone who wanted to know, actually that it was me! He was stoked and we ended up chatting for a bit. He was visiting from Mass. and leaving today so no dice there, but still a good pull!

not all guys who do yoga are gay....... my yoga studio is attached to a physical therapy rehab facility.....he's working on a shoulder injury from a car accident.....
and there are plenty of guys who do yoga that are straight! most of them admit its a great way to pick up hot chicks who are very flexible.

Don't get mad duder, it was a simple question.
And if you hadn't noticed I stated at the beginning of my post "not to get all in the business."

I completely understand, I have an ex that I still don't like talking about b/c of reasons similar to yours. Damasa was just curious, but it's your life, don't discuss if you don't want to.

the shy guys are always tough- but when you talk to him- see how his body language is- if he's turned toward you- touching you- or even looking you in the eye- if he is doing this- he's interested (as a friend or more... thats different) ask him what he is doing this weekend- or how his weekend was.... talk about your plans for the next one.... remember what he said his plans were for the upcoming weekend.... the next class... ask him how his "insert plans here" went- and see if he opens up a little more... it helps to connect with them on very solid ground- and you can read him more- if he retracts and acts like your violating his space... then..well he's weird lol jk- but just read him a little- if he seems more interested- invite him out to do something or see if he wants to meet up sometime for a concert you mention- or whatever... some guys are REALLLYYY slow to pick up on things (sorry boys.... but it can be true) or others don't have much confidence (unfortunately- but we see this with girls too ) its awesom ethat you are going for it- good luck!!! and if he turns you down... then he might be scared... and you don't want to be the one to deal with gsetting him out of his shell.... you seem like an awesome girl- so have fun with it

Could have been worse. You could have caught him with the guy from yoga class.

Well thank god that you got out of it then! You were probably the best thing that he ever happened to him and he screwed it up with some ugly chick. I bet yoga guy appreciates what he has when he has it (you know, he's found his center and all that )! Go for it!!! What do you have to lose?
