April 5th, although, the chili team members go out the night before to um "prepare" the chili. We happen to use a lot of beer in our recipe. But the music is just all day Saturday.
If you're interested in coming and bringing some friends, let me know, i work at a motel in town and can hook y'all up with dirt cheap rooms.
Valkyrie,
There is chili that is ingested, although i don't know if i could trust "Yankee" chili

KITSO!!!!!!!!! I am soooo there!!!!!!! I love Gary Allan and Cory Morrow is THE MAN!!! AHHHHHH, I am super excited!!! I will get in touch with my supervisor to request that weekend off. If I am able to make it out that way (which I am sure about), you will DEFINITELY have to make it out to Oyster Bake, alright? Deal? And Kitso, if you cut back on the drinking, how will you be able to show me how to party like a rock star? It'll be me showing you anyway!
Oh my goodness! I just say, $25 entrance fee?? Well, I guess it's not that bad, seeing as how there's going to be some great music.
Here's the lowdown on Oyster Bake performers (the ones that matter any way):
Friday, April 25:
REK
Saturday, April 26:
Kevin Fowler
Roger Creager

Come on down SA!
Bring some of your girlies with ya! I'll go ahead and reserve ya a room at the 8.
Oyster Bake huh? that sounds suspicously like the same weeked as our Formal. I'll have to check and see. But hey, if we go to Laredo again this year maybe i can make a detour or head home early to party in SA.
$25 and you GUESS that's good? I'd pay $25 to just see Willie, or just see Roger, or just see Cory. But for $25 you get to see ALL 3!!!

If I was going to be anywhere near TX at that time, you know I'd so go.
I'm not that big on country music [although I just saw Wille a few weeks ago], but I love chili. I only eat chili with mayo and tabasco with every scoop though. That's how we eat it here.

Mayo and tobasco?? Blah! I usually eat chili with cheese and green onions, with an occassional scoop or two of sour cream. Wow, mayo and tobasco is definitely different.
Note to Kitso: You've known about OB for quite a while now, way before you knew about formal, so sorry. You've gotta miss formal. It's only fair.

Have you ever tried mayo and tabasco? It's actually pretty good.
In fact, the only way you'll ever get me to eat macaroni salad is if [and only if!] I have a bottle of tabasco within arms reach!
Mayo, tabasco, chili, and a scoop of sticky rice...Mmm, mmm good!

I'll go with you on the wonders of Tabasco.
I mean, it just makes everthing taste so....Cajun.
The mayo thing might take some work though :P
