Makeup advice, please!!
Hey ladies,
Our chapter's formal is April 3rd. My dress is a beautiful peach color, long and simple. My question is makeup.
I have fairly light skin, hazel eyes (brown/green), and light brown hair. What makeup colors should I go for? Peach seems to be a hard color to pick makeup for.

Yeah, I was thinking champagne and brown for the eyes. What about lipstick though?

i would go for a simple pale gloss. if you're going for neutrals on your eyes, you could go for an earthy, natural look. it would be fresh and young.

I agree - get a gloss/lipstick with some glitter to it...give you that extra sparkle. Again go with something neutral but with color so you don't look too washed out.

My complexion seems similar to yours, only I have red hair. I wear a lot of peach/salmon/brownish blushes & lipsticks, and a neutral brown for my eyes.
Everytime I have the extra time & am in a department store, I have whichever makeup counter is doing free makeup try theirs on me. Over the years, you learn what works with what.

There are some lovely cream eye shadows out there that offer just a hint of color. I was reading a fashion article a couple of days ago and it said color-especially for the eyes-is in. I'm not a "fad" person, but I have a few color families of this type of product. The colors really are soft and almost undetectable from a distance.
Honestly, if you want to really go for the kill, I'd hit a dept. store with dress in hand and try some different shades of blush and lipstick under their unforgiving light. Go right when the place opens for privacy and attention. HOWEVER-You will be beautiful with what's been suggested.

I'm with justamom. get a swatch of your dress and go to the department store counter. they do free makeup consulting all the time, and if you feel badly, buy the lipstick
