I'd like to announce the work of many brothers has led to the Lambda Tau chapter having a landmark night at the Greek Awards ceremony. We set a goal in January to win Greek Week and we accomplished this feat for the first time this week.
However the bigger prize was the Chapter Standards of Excellence Award. This award is the overall award given to the fraternity/sorority, which have attained outstanding levels of achievement in areas involving citizenship, values integration and intellectual development, and leadership. This award will be the highest award given to any chapter in the fraternity/sorority community by Western Michigan University. We're only 3 1/2 years removed from re-colonization and just 2 years since re-chartering. We're a mid sized house on campus and winning Fraternity of the Year will be a huge step towards our future growth.
