Jimmy Weekley, a student enrolled in the class who Harrick Jr. appointed to be the teaching assistant, signed a sworn affidavit included in the Harrick lawsuit that said he was responsible for taking attendance.
"I did not take attendance during class sessions and am unaware whether class attendance was taken by class instructors," Weekley's affidavit states. "Attendance requirements were lenient in most, if not all, of the courses in which I was enrolled at the University of Georgia."
