Trans-Siberian Orchestra
If you're a fan of rock opera, I suggest you buy, borrow, burn, steal, or find other means of getting TSO's "Beethoven's Last Night."
It's fantastic.

"Beethoven's Last Night" is incredible. I've had it for a few years. Their Christmas albums are amazing, but a lot of people just have "Christmas Eve and Other Stories." "The Christmas Attic" is fabulous, too. But my favorite is "Old City Bar" on "Christmas Eve and Other Stories"

I saw "Christmas Eve in Sarajevo" done by The Raleigh Ringers (a community handbell choir based in NC) and it was absolutely unbelievably amazing. Before you say "are you nuts?", go to rr.org and watch the video clip. After seeing them in concert, I'll never think of handbells in the same way (never thought of Pinball Wizard or "Stairway to Heaven" as handbell music, would you?).

As strange as it may seem, outside the holiday season,Trans Siberian Orchestra is a heavy metal band.During the off season, they are called Savatage and they have been around for years.I don't know for sure but they probably play small venues and clubs during the off seaon.I don't know what their playlist might include but I bet it would be worth checking out.

Actually, they're listed as TSO for BLN, which isn't a Christmas album. I love their guitarists, though-haven't seen much under Savatage, though.
