Great Idea For Philanthropy
An awesome and easy philanthropy you can do as a chapter is:
Find the poorest nursing home in town and ask the staff people about starting an adopt-a-grandparent program. They will know which one's don't have family that come to visit. Then, assign a couple of members to each of the old people that want to participate. Activities: just go visit once a month and take them out to eat once a month. You can also find out if they would like to go to church with you and take them there. Also, call them every week if you can. You will be amazed at how much this will bless the people in the nursing home, and more so, bless your members. And it is a lot of cheap and easy service hours.
