Which silver pattern are you?
So I finally found and bought the book... Southern Belle Primer.
So in the book there is a section about silver patterns and what your's says about you! SO.... which one are you?
The way I picked mine was to look at the picture and pick and then look at the discriptions. I picked two... 5 and 10... reading about the meanings I am more of a 10 then a 5.

(Warning - thread crash!)
Thanx for posting this, GtownGirl98! I needed to know I wasnt' the only one who did that w/ the book.
I'm a Wallace Grand Baroque. And yes, that really is our pattern.
(I'm hinting around for the caviar set for our anniversary or Christmas......)

I'm going to commit a major faux-pas by admitting that I don't like *any* of the patterns listed in "Southern Belle Primer"! I'm picky about my silverware.
Once I finally get around to purchasing sterling, my pattern will be "Trianon" By Tuttle. Unfortunately, a 5 piece place setting retails for $450, so it will take a loooong time to complete a service.

I have service for 12 in Old Master. Remind me (it's been many years since I've read the Primer) what it says about Old Master...

I've got the Primer too and I was excited to see that my mom's pattern that I inherited, Chantilly, was in there!

"Old Master girls have spirit but don't drift too far away from tradition. Because of this they are fiercely attached to their family heirlooms. One Texas belle got thirty place settings of her groom's grandmother's Old Master as a wedding gift. When she got a divorce, she took her husband to court over the Old Master and let him keep the Cadillac without a whimper."

That description is dead on for me. I know my daughter can well attest to my "traditional" fanatasism. This is the first year she hasn't had to wear smocked dresses and big hairbows . She has forever to wear the other stuff.
Spirited also works!

Darlin'girl ~ We are talking about our Sterling Silver Patterns. The Southern Belle Primer is a book about all things southern and sorority. The book tells what a persons siover pattern tells about them. I really wanted the Francis1 pattern but Mother-in-law talked me out of it.It wasn't all about me then~

Sorry...help a sister out please. I wish I could tell you what pattern I was but would not even know where to begin looking. My silver pattern was from Ralph Lauren. Does that count? lol
