You Should Be A Witness!!!
Hello everyone, I hope this post finds you all well after such a great weekend....
I've had the most blessed weekend of my life everyone, I visited the Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in Houston Texas and GC the spirit was really moving through that church! The choir sang one of my favorite hymns and one line stands out in my mind "You should be a witness"
The reason being I can testify that the Lord has been good to me and has brought me from a very long way. There are so many things the Lord has done for me.......
My question to the rest of you is: Are you a witness? What wonderful things has God done for you that stands out that you're willing to share with the rest of us?

Wow, what a wonderful topic!!! Well for me, I had a wonderful experience today. I have really been down and out about a family member of mine for the past year because she is unfortunately involved in the drug scene. I have been sooo worried about her lately wondering if she was okay and where she was living or if she even had a place to live. THEN today to my surprise..... she walks into church!!!! Oh my goodness God answers prayers! He may not come when you want him but he will be there RIGHT ON TIME! I was so relieved to see her this morning I didn't know what do but run up and give her the biggest hug ever. Well Sorors, that's how God has blessed me. "God showed up and showed out!!!"

Excellent Topic!
Where can I begin in sharing what the Lord has done for me. Well I'm a senior and the past three years tuition has been paid through grants, scholarships and the help of my grandmother. I thank God that He provided in such a way that I don't have ANY loans. Romans 8:13 says OWE NO MAN ANYTHING BUT TO LOVE HIM. So I give GOD the glory that upon graduation I will OWE NO MAN ANYTHING (concerning my education).

He has done everthing for me; and I can expect him to provide a pleasant future for me. He has protected me from myself(my own stupidity) and (that of)others.

On a specific note, I was blessed to have received acceptances at 4 of the 6 law schools I applied to, and the other two have me on waiting lists! Not a single rejection to speak of! HALLELUJAH!!!

I have so much to thank Him for...
I thank him for GRACE (giving me what I don't deserve) and MERCY (not giving me what I do deserve)
I thank him for my family..by blood and cirmcumstances.
I thank Him for salvation ABOVE ALL and for the comforter that He left in the Holy Spirit.
Today I REALLY Thank Him for a JOB OFFER that I just received!!

well, i have got to be a witness. He has kept me even when i have been undeserving of His blessings. He is so gracious and merciful, even though i fall short EVERY single day. he continues to bless and keep me. giving me an opportunity with every new day to get my ragged life straightened out...OK!
So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:36)

I am blessed to still be here, on the receiving end of lots of blessings that I didn't earn or deserve!
On a specific note, God has "made a way out of no way" on the financial front very recently, and breathed His breath of love on my marriage, helping to ease some long-standing tensions.
"Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise Him all creatures here below; praise Him above Ye heavenly host; praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost!"

My soul is truly a witness. Everyday that I awake in good health and my right mind, I stand to be eternally greatful unto the Lord thy God. I thank Him for being my provider, protector, and of All-Power.
The Lord has truly been my PROVIDER: He has demonstrated that His vision shall come to pass and that "God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man that He should change His mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?" (Numbers 23:19) God provided a glimpse of my tomorrow and the provision that He would grant to secure that tomorrow. Many nights went by as I cried and questioned God on His provisional power, and it became so clear to me what the Lord says in Isiah 43.."that when I act, who can reverse it." I had understood my calling to be in higher education administration, and that I would need to obtain my doctorate to that end. I knew that provision would be present at some point, but rejection upon rejection from "choice" schools (see James 4:14-17)begged me to question the truth regarding God's TRUTHFUL character. But God had provision in mind where I had not considered. My last doctoral program application was submitted to the place I least wanted to be, yet also has an accomplished education program (my personal "Tarsus"--see Acts 9-11.--the place I didn't want to be--but would benefit the ministy God has placed in me). The favor of God yielded acceptance, a fellowship, stipend, and an opportunity to gain experience while in school at the university. Truly, there's nothing that can beat the provision of the Lord!
God has been my PROTECTOR: I don't deserve the covering of the Blood of Jesus which has shielded me even as I continued to operate in my "old heart." But in spite of the wicked which my "old heart" has sought (Romans 7), I still remained tented under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalms 91).
God has been POWERFUL: His all-knowing power has steered me and guided me in His path. I thank God for the Sacrificial Lamb who made a way for us to have power to tread upon serpants, etc, and access to His Throne of Grace.
For His provision, protection, and power, all that I can say is my soul is glad to be a witness....and that I stand grateful.
------------------
I will bless the Lord at ALL times His praise shall continually be in my mouth. (Psalms 34:1, KJV)
