George Bush's Resume
I recieved this information thru an email list server. I thought it would be fun to share on this Forum.
RESUME
George W. Bush
The White House, USA
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
LAW ENFORCEMENT: I was arrested in Kennebunkport,
Maine in 1976 for driving under the influence of
alcohol. I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my
driver's license suspended for 30 days. My Texas
driving record has been "lost" and is not available.
MILITARY: I joined the Texas Air National Guard and
went AWOL. I refused to take a drug test or answer any
questions about my drug use. By joining the Texas Air
National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in
Vietnam.
COLLEGE: I graduated from Yale University. I was a
cheerleader.
PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:
I ran for U.S. Congress and lost.
I began my career in the oil business in Midland,
Texas in 1975. I bought an oil company, but couldn't
find any oil in Texas. The company went bankrupt
shortly after I sold all my stock.
I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money.
With the help of my father and our right-wing friends
in the oil industry (including Enron CEO Ken Lay), I
was elected Governor of Texas.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR:
I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil
companies, making Texas the most polluted state in the
Union.
During my tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the
most smog-ridden city in America.
I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the
tune of billions in borrowed money.
I set the record for the most executions by any
Governor in American history.
With the help of my brother, the Governor of Florida,
and my father's appointments to the Supreme Court, I
became President after losing by over 500,000 votes.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT:
I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing
cost of over one billion dollars per week.
I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted
the U.S. Treasury.
I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit
in U.S. history.
I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies
filed in any 12-month period.
I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the
history of the U.S. stock market.
I am the first president in U.S. history to enter
office with a criminal record.
I set the all-time record for most days on vacation in
any one year period.
After taking-off the entire month of August, I
presided over the worst security failure in
U.S.history.
I am supporting development of a nuclear "Tactical
Bunker Buster," a WMD.
In my State Of The Union Address, I lied about our
reasons for attacking Iraq, then blamed the lies on
our British friends.
I set the record for most campaign fundraising trips
by a U.S. president.
In my first year in office over 2-million Americans
lost their jobs and that trend continues every month.
I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a
12-month period.
I appointed more convicted criminals to administration
than any president in U.S. history.
I set the record for least amount of press conferences
than any president since the advent of television.
I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S.
history and refused to intervene when corruption
involving the oil industry was revealed.
I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S.
history.
I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and
support a cut in duty benefits for active duty troops
and their families -- in war time.
I have set the all-time record for most people
worldwide to simultaneously protest me in public
venues (15 million people) shattering the record for
protest against any person in the history of mankind.
I've broken more international treaties than any
president in U.S. history.
I'm proud that the members of my cabinet are the
richest of any administration in U.S. history. My
"poorest millionaire," Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron
oil tanker named after her.
I am the first president in U.S. history to order an
unprovoked, preemptive attack and the military
occupation of a sovereign nation. I did so against the
will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S.
citizens, and the world community.
I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the
largest bureaucracy in the history of the United
States government .
I am the first president in U.S. history to have the
United Nations remove the U.S. from the Human Rights
Commission.
I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law.
I refused to allow inspectors access to U.S.
"prisoners of war" (detainees) and thereby have
refused to abide by the Geneva Convention.
I am the first president in history to refuse United
Nations election inspectors (during the 2002 U.S.
election).
I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for
receiving the most corporate campaign donations.
My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of
my best friends, Kenneth Lay, presided over the
largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. history. My
political party used the Enron private jets and
corporate attorneys to assure my success with the U.S.
Supreme Court during my election decision. I have
protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against
investigation or prosecution. More time and money was
spent investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than
has been spent investigating one of the biggest
corporate rip-offs in history.
I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the
World Trade Center attacks and less than a year later
made the U.S. the most hated country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history.
I am first president in history to have a majority of Eropeans (71%) view my presidency as the biggest
threat to world peace and security.
I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals
to be awarded government contracts.
I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring
Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein to justice.
RECORDS AND REFERENCES:
All records of my tenure as Governor of Texas are now
in my father's library, sealed, and unavailable for
public view.
All records of SEC investigations into my insider
trading and my bankrupt companies are sealed in
secrecy and unavailable for public view.
All records or minutes from meetings that I, or my
Vice-president, attended regarding public energy
policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for
public review.
Please consider my experience when voting in 2004 -
Send this to every voter you know.

My opinion
Okay we all know bush has his ups and downs, however, I have seen some good things he has done for this country-but there are bad things as well.
I think Clinton was a GREAT president, however, he turned his head to a lot of things that he shouldn't have.
I think if Bush were to focus on the home problems as much as he's been focusing on Iraq he'd make a GREAT president too.
As for all that dirt, they all had it. A few to check out would be check out Nixon, Lincoln, and Washingtons history if I'm not mistaken, it's on www.whitehouse.org with links to the presidents bios.
To be honest with you if Dean or Kerry win the democratic election, then I'm voting Bush all the way. I'mma vote twice if it's Dean, lol.
Sorry I'm for Bush or Edwards. Just voicing my political views.

I respect your political views. I think his state of address was very convincing but what do you have to say about "George Bush's resume" posted above? Many of these things are absolutely true. (I can't say everything because some claims are new to me). I am very interested in your opinion because I feel like you have just symplified these very serious criticisms as mere ups and downs. That doesn't sit well with me at all. Do you care to elaborate on your opinions?

Ok
I'm get real frank and stinky minded about this...Even though I personally like Edwards, but feel maybe Bush might need to finish what he's started.
And for one Kerry doesn't even know what he's for and against pending the time of day he choices which side he's on-who wants someone who's indecisive. At least when Bush says something he sticks to it. Everyone wants to attack Bush, but in the premi's Bush isn't there concern it's the fellow Demi's.
Personally, I feel that everyone has done there share of things and if you think every president that has stepped into the whitehouse is what we call "straight edge" then that is a very close minded thought.
I am not aware of how true these allegations are and personally long as he handling the business in the whitehouse I truly don't care.
He has done a couple of things which I don't approve of at all, but that's every president.
He drunk and drove, I don't know anything about that I don't support that in anyway but do you know how many police officers get DU and DWI's a year?
If he was a cheerleader at Yale who cares.
He joined the Texas Air National Guard so he could avoid 'Nam who gives a crap-look at how many presidents don't have any military experience. Bush knows the military system very well and nobody can touch him on that that's running right now but the medal of honor winner I can't remember if it was Dean or Kerry.
So what if he had the help of dad and friends to become governor, that's what they there for-it's called networking.
Anytime Oil is involved there's going to be pollution regardless, I bet you won't boycott it and go without gas for the rest of your life.
In case you didn't know anytime taxes are cut something else is suffering for it.
The executions might have happened but what were these peoples crimes, was the a member of the jury or the judge?
It's not his fault if someone screwed up the votes. I'd of took the stand too.
The US has been on the level of being broke for years.
Well if they give him vacation days then let him take em. I mean dang, he needs a break too-everyone knows his daughters can get off the chain. Running a country and keeping up with them too, can drive anyone nuts.
Do you here Ms. Rice complaining, he didn't have to even choose her?
He took a man out of office that the US put in it-research how Saddam gained control of Iraq.
Is he the first to enter with a criminal record, or the first to not cover everything up?
Press conferences-now this is something I have to stand by him on. Not running the mouth to the press is what has kept us from having a lot more damage than we have had done. I feel the press tells too much and not everything is needed to be broadcasted.
He didn't make us the most hated country in the world, those who've hated us have always hated us.
Well enough of that, later.

Cool Off
Their is no need to get inflammed to the point of anger CodeBlue_R3 about a thread that I have started. I hope you feel better! And yes every president has had their fair share of dirt in the closet but I still can't stand Bush.

Wow. Okay. I appreciate you sharing your point of views.
The thing is, polluting the environment is not cool. Obviously, Presidents and others who have led American businesses before Bush have polluted the environment or we wouldn't be in the crisis situation we are in now. It is not okay. I love oil as much as any one else but I'm not a glutten.
By the way, don't bet that I would not agree to live without oil. I'm all for the electric car and I loooove my grill. I am extremely concerned about the environment. I want my President to understand the effects of pollution and I want my President to care.
I bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas. The company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock.
Isn't this the reason Martha Stewart is in the hot seat right now?
I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted
the U.S. Treasury. I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit
in U.S. history.
CodeBlue_R3, we are not talking about a regular old deficit here. Clinton really pulled us out of a hole. Bush not only put us back into the hole, he
# 1 set an economic record for
most private bankruptcies filed in any 12-month period.
#2 bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of billions in borrowed money.
#3 He spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted
the U.S. Treasury.
#4 shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history.
#5 he set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the U.S. stock market.
#6 In his first year in office over
2-million Americans lost their jobs
#7 set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period.
The President's of the past are either dead/gone but surely they are in the past. Let's talk about what's going on today. Just because they all do it (mess up in one way or another), that doesn't make it right and that doen't make it okay.
And to top it all off, we are in a war that our allies do not support. It is amazing to me that you guys love him so much.
