Hello,
I recently ordered the book "The Divine Nine: The History of African American Fraternities and Sororities" from amazon.com. The edition I
ordered was the hardback edition - Publisher: Kensington Pub Corp; (February 2002) ISBN: 075820325X.
When received, in the inside front cover I saw the copyright date displayed was 2000, and no later date (i.e. 2002) was shown. Would the date displayed there not have been updated for a reprint or is it likely that I was sent an older edition? The ISBN number on mine does match the one above.
My reason for asking is that it's been mentioned on here in the past that initially there were errors in the text (other than typos etc) which were corrected in later editions. Hence my wanting to make sure I had the latest edition.
So, I wanted to know a) if on the information above I had the latest edition or not and b) if
not, to help guage whether I should return it for replacement, how fundamental the errors are and whether my edition is any the worse off for having them. Obviously if it's just a typo or something (rather than lots of incorrect facts and info) I'm not too concerned since to return the book not least because it took a while to arrive the first time from Amazon.
Thanks!
