Exclamation New Maternity Fashion

As I was looking through the latest issue of Jet, there's a picture of a pregnant Tisha Campbell and she is wearing a halterlike top that shows off her stomach and she has some kind of egyptian like design on her stomach.

My question is how do you feel about pregnant women wearing revealing clothes during pregnancy? They say it's the new trend because a lot of stars are wearing clothes that are tight and showy just like as if they weren't pregnant but I just don't get it.

Well, being a full figured lady-I feel that it's a choice. I hear alot of people saying that big women shouldn't wear this or that, but I say if she is comfortable in it, than it's up to her to wear it. The same with pregnant women, hey, if you like it--wear it!! If others don't like it, than don't look!!! Besides, who are they to judge???

I actually like some of it, as long as it has class. When I was pregnant, showing ANYTHING was so not cool (in my best valley girl accent). That's one of the most difficult things about being pregnant (for most women), - because you're body changes so drastically, you tend to feel unattractive. Now I'm, seeing pregnant women wearing maternity clothes that SHOWS OFF their maternity (not the big frumpy blouses that they design, the big pants with the 10 foot multi colored elastic band in the front, and the long grandma dresses -- ewwww---) and I think it's beautiful. IMHO, it's almost ethereal, and helps bring back the sacredness of motherhood. I saw a pregnant bridesmaid recently and thought she was absolutely gorgeous.

Now, I haven't seen the outfit that that Tisha had on, but hopefully it came off as being beautiful & not "hoochie mama" ish.

I think the "new" maternity gear looks so much better than those ugly ol, big ol pants, shirts, and moo moos. There is a big difference between the new trend that exposes the stomach and the hoochie mama daisy dukes pregnant women wear on the jenny jones show. I think the new style is a message that eve though you're PG you can still dress sexy/classy and beautiful.

I was at the IHOP. There was a pregnant woman with a tank top on. It wouldnt have been so bad if she didn't have on some capri pants. Her big ol belly was just a hangin out from under that tank and over those low riding capris. Some maternity fashion is great and I loved how Demi Moore did the picture of herself naked on some magazine cover. But this was a blatant act of no home girl didnt.

Thumbs up

I saw that issue and I though Tisha looked GREAT. She's a nice looking lady and she looked nice in her outfit. Can ALL pregnant women wear that? NO! Can some women? Sure...
