GAMMA PHI BETA INTERNATIONAL SORORITY
NAMES GAMMA PHI BETA INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The International Council of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority has selected Brenda Dunn Rickert, Alpha Zeta, to serve as the Interim Executive Director of Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority effective January 26, 2004. She has served as Training & Development Chairwoman, Nominating Task Force Chairwoman, and Nominating Committee Chairwoman and presently holds the position of Strategic Plan Chairwoman and Crescent Values Coordinator.
Brenda brings 35 years experience in training, consulting, and facilitating to the position.
Brenda assumes her new responsibilities upon the departure of Karen Blackman who worked as Executive Director since 2001. Gamma Phi Beta wishes Karen much success in her new endeavors. International Council will begin the candidate search immediately.
Vicki Carlson Read, International President, said, "Brenda has a long and dedicated history with Gamma Phi Beta, including various volunteer positions. International Council is pleased Brenda accepted the interim position and looks forward to her continued contribution to the Sorority.”
Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority was founded in 1874 at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Today, the Sorority has over 114 collegiate chapters across the United States and Canada and over 130,000 members worldwide. Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and Gamma Phi Beta Foundation are headquartered in Centennial, Colorado.
